VAN EVANS

Van C. Evans served a church mission in Peru (’79–’81) and is founder of Generations Humanitarian. He has led numerous expeditions and tours to Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia since 1998. He received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah with an International certificate and a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit/NGO Leader- ship from the University of Pennsylvania. He was trained as a research sociologist at Indiana University–Purdue University, where he received his doctorate in Sociology/Philanthropic Studies. He is the author of Willka Wasin Wiraqocha — The House of the Lord. He is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Quechua and Portuguese.

Itinerary

February 20 – USA flight to Quito, Ecuador

Arrive in the evening to Quito (Mariscal Sucre) International airport Ecuador (UIO). Bus late to Otavalo. 

February 21 – Indian Market Day in Otavalo

Sleep in. Indian Market Day in Otavalo. Visit lake in volcanic crater in afternoon.

February 22 – Church, free time, drive to Bogota

Church/free time in morning in The Company. Drive to Bogota at night.

February 23 – Fly to Baltra, Galapagos

Fly to Baltra, Galapagos. Tour Island. See giant tortoises.

February 24 – Visit San Cristobal/Santa Fe Islands

Cruise Day 2. Visit San Cristobal/Santa Fe Islands. Swim/sunbathe with sea lions, tropical fish.

February 25 – Visit Bartolome Island

Cruise Day 3. Visit Bartolome Island. See Iguanas, Boobies. Swim with penguins, sharks, turtles.

February 26 – Cruise Day 4

February 27 – Go to the Middle of the World (Equator)

Fly to Quito. Go to the Middle of the World (Equator)

February 28 – Visit Colonial sector, flights home

Visit Colonial sector. Leave from Quito (Mariscal Sucre) International airport Ecuador (UIO) in the late evening. Fly home.

March 1 – Arrive home with amazing memories!
